Privacy Policy — HomeBakely

HomeBakely is a mobile app that helps home bakers manage their orders, customers, and deliveries. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We keep it plain and honest: we do not sell your data, we do not use advertising or third-party tracking, and your customer records belong to you.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account, we collect your name and email address. If you choose "Continue with Google," Google provides us your name and email to create the account — we never see your Google password.

Business data you enter

HomeBakely stores the information you add to run your bakery, including:

Customer details you enter — names, phone numbers, and delivery notes;
Orders — items, prices, dates, payment/advance amounts, and status;
Reference photos you optionally attach to an order.

Device permissions (optional, only when you allow them)

Contacts	To let you auto-fill a customer's name and phone number from your phone contacts when adding an order or customer. Used only when you tap to import.
Photos / Media	To let you attach a reference photo to an order from your photo library.
Notifications	To send you local delivery reminders for upcoming orders.

You can grant or deny each permission, and change it any time in your device settings. The app works without them — you simply enter details manually.

How we use your information

To create and secure your account and sign you in;
To store, display, and back up your bakery's orders and customers;
To sync your data across your devices and protect against data loss;
To send delivery reminders you schedule;
To respond to support requests and feedback you send us.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell or rent it to anyone.

Where your data is stored

On your device: your data is saved locally so the app works offline. Reference photos you attach stay on your device.
In the cloud (Supabase): to sync and back up your account, we store your bakery, customer, and order records with Supabase, our hosting provider. Access is restricted so each bakery can only see its own data.
Google Sign-In: if you sign in with Google, authentication is handled by Google under its own Privacy Policy.

Sharing

We share your information only with the service providers above (Supabase for hosting, Google for optional sign-in) strictly to operate the app, and when required by law. Customer information you enter is yours — we never share it with other users or third parties for their own purposes.

Data retention & deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual customers or orders in the app at any time. To delete your entire account and associated cloud data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it, typically within 30 days.

Security

Data synced to the cloud is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and protected by per-account access controls. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to safeguard your information.

Children's privacy

HomeBakely is intended for adults running a baking business and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, a notice in the app.
